  • Have you ever wanted to learn how to safely and properly handle and shoot a pistol, rifle and /or  shotgun?
  • Are you thinking about purchasing a firearm for protection?
  • Do you have a competitive spirit and have been wanting to try one of the shooting sports?

Well, this is your lucky day! Sign up and join us this Spring as we host our third annual Desert Flower Ladies’ Day!  Our talented team of women volunteers are excited to teach you how to PROPERLY and SAFELY shoot!

HOW TO REGISTER:

  • Pre-Registration Required – Limited to the FIRST 150 women, 21 years of age and older.
    REGISTRATION is open now!  ONLINE registration is the only registration method available. Please do NOT ask the office staff at Rio Salado to register. Contact us with questions. dfld@herhandgun.com

  • COST:  $25 – Includes 9 mm pistol,.223 rifle ammunition and shotgun shells. Pistols, rifles, shotguns , air guns and safety/shooting instruction is provided.

  • TIMES: 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (There are 4 start blocks – register early to get your preferred time.) Start Times:  8 am, 10 am, 1 pm and 2:30 pm (if necessary)
  • WHAT TO BRING:  All participants are be given foam ear plugs, but please bring your own eye protection and ear muffs if you have them. We have a limited number of eye glasses and ear muffs to loan. Do NOT bring your own gun. You are NOT allowed to shoot it during the Desert Flower event. All firearms are provided.
  • Participants are allowed to shoot a variety of 9 mm and .22 semi-automatic pistols, shotguns and .223 rifles.  We also have an airgun station.  All firearms, ammunition and air 🙂 are provided.
  • Special Event – Interactive Self-Defense Demonstration at noon! Hang around or come early to watch an informative hands-on self-defense demonstration by Ivan Gelo.  This is going to be fun!
  • Quality Instruction provided by National Shooting Champions Sara Dunivin, Kippi Leatham, Debbie Keehart, and Sandy Thoms, along with Sue Little, past President of Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club and our fabulous team of knowledgeable women shooters – all volunteers!
